Die Arrangements verzichten bewusst auf Schlagzeug und schaffen so eine Atmosphäre, in der die Zeit gedehnt wirkt und Pausen ebenso bedeutungsvoll sind wie gespielte Töne. Streicher, Bläser und elektronische Sounds verleihen den Stücken eine besondere Tiefe, die sich zwischen avantgardistischem Anspruch, folkiger Färbung und einem fast cinematischen Gestus bewegt, bei dem man vielleicht manchmal an Anohny And The Johnsons denken mag. “On Beacon Hill” ist damit ein Werk, das Moores Gravitas noch einmal neu bündelt und seine Songs zugleich filigran und kraftvoll zur Geltung bringt. Other weird sonic phenomena criss-cross the inner cosmos of her brain and streak across her private sky like comets.
