Fünf Jahre nach der Erstveröffentlichung des Albums “V” (Amek 2019) bringt der griechische Musiker Vasilis Angelopoulos alias Conjecture eine erweitere Jubiläumsedition des Werks auf CD heraus, das Release feiert zugleich das zehnjährige Bestehen des Projektes. Bei Zoharum, die vor drei Jahren bereits das Conjecture-Album “Hydra” herausbrachten, heißt es: “Exactly five years since the vinyl release of “V”, (Amek, 2019). EP “∫V” (with several interesting remixes, including Antichamber, Evitceles, BlakkHarbor, Flint Glass) for the first time released on CD. The edition also includes a new, interesting commentary by Angel Simitchiev, the first publisher of this material, which is an excellent supplement to the publication. This is Conjecture’s second release on Zoharum, following their 2021 album “Hydra”. Both fans of the project and fans of the sound based on rhythmic, slow, low-bass structures should be interested”. In den nächsten Tagen erscheint der sechste Longplayer des griechischen Multimediakünstlers Vasilis Angelopoulos unter seinem Projekt Conjecture. Der Titel “Nostalgia Futura” verweist auch gleich auf den thematischen Hintergrund des Albums, nämlich die Gedanken des Künstlers zum Phänomen der antizipieren Nostalgie, also einer wehmütigen Verklärung von Dingen oder Zuständen, die nicht wie bei nostalgischen Gefühlen üblich in der Vergangenheit liegen, sondern auf eine eventuelle Zukunft projizierte Ideen sind. Kulturphänomene wie der sogenannte Retrofuturismus, bei dem utopische Science-Fiction-Szenarien eine betont nostalgische, an vergangene Epochen erinnernde verklärende Ästhetik bekommen, sind nur ein sehr offensichtliches Beispiel dafür. Im Pressetext heißt es: “While nostalgia is a widely recognized and socially significant emotional experience, Anticipatory Nostalgia is a feeling of longing for something that has yet to occur or may not exist at all.
