März gastiert The Ultimate Bruital Orchestra (U.B.O.), ein internationales und in der Mehrheit in Berlin ansässiges Ensemble im Bereich Improvisation und Echtzeitmusik auf dem an der Elbe in Hamburg vor Anker liegenden Motorschiff MS Stubnitz. Ebenfallszu sehen und zu hören sind die Komponistin Dong Zhou, die die Violine als “vorgefundenes” Klangobjekt verwendet und der Noisemusiker und-Forscher David Wallraf, der an dem Abend einen Live-Score zu einem inexistenten Fim aufführen wird.

Diesmal sind einige unseren Lesern bekannte Acts mit z.T. bisher unveröffentlichtem Material unter den 103 internationalen Beitragenden, so u.a. Temple Music, Cedrik Fermont, Dong Zhou,  Lyke Wake, Akoustik Timbre Frekuency, Darkrad, Ashtoreth, Embers Below Zero, Vrna, Thanatoloop, und Desert Drone.

“Welcome to Edition III of the Annual M.A.D. Compilation. M.A.D. is a group which supports any music genre and subgenre which was not created with the intention of being corporatised and this has possibly been instrumental in the group’s growth, though quality has always taken priority over quantity of members. The Compilation has a very diverse, genre wise, portfolio of highest quality music produced by 108 acts which have at least one member in the group. With a few collaborations between members, the total amount of tracks in this compilation amounts to 103. The countries from which the acts are based in cover all the continents.
