Die portugiesische Vokalistin und Komponistin Dullmea bringt am 20. Mai ein neues digitales Album im Eigenverlag heraus – das Werk mit dem Titel “Ñe’ẽsẽ” ist von den Elementen der Natur inspiriert und enthält zudem ein limitiertes Set an Lesezeichen, in denen neben Downloadcodes für das Album Kamillensamen enthalten sind. Unterstützung erhielt die Künstlerin auch diesmal wieder von ihrem früheren Kollaborateur Ricardo Pinto, der sich diesmal aber nur an Mix und Mastering beteiligte.

“Ñe’ẽsẽ is an album with music and visuals inspired by elements of nature. Which characters can we find?

1 – The lines that comprise the cap of a morchella are voices with individual paths that separate and meet successively, sliding and creating alveoli.

2 –The growth rings of a tree dictate the proportion, pitch and duration of sound “rings”; the cracks of a trunk in the beats generated by the progressive deviation of pitch.

3 – The development pattern of a maple leaf’s veins that translates into the rhythmic organization of a melody.

4 – Spiny, dangerous, sharp hedgehogs are feedbacks organized in a diverse palette. A lament with ground bass, but instead of a viola da gamba, a feedback.

5 – The birdsong – some that already exist in nature and others that remain to be invented – in all its polyphony, stridency, innocence, and often inconvenience.

6 – The velvety texture of Mentha Suaveolens is the antechamber’s scenery for an oasis of new birds never heard before”. (Aus der Bandcamp-Seite)

Orduak: Kollaboration mit Dullmea und Ricardo Pinto

Die Sängerin und Stimmperformerin Dullmea und der Multiinstrumentalist Ricardo Pinto haben mit “Orduak” ein gemeinsames Werk geschaffen, das auf der Basis von chorartigem Gesang, Elektronik und diversen Effekten und inspiriert vom Klang eines portugiesischen Sprichwortes – “Ao fundo mais fundo/Nem fogo, nem vento, nem sopro/Sempre este sono, esta sombra de giz” (“In the deepest deep/No fire, no wind, no whiff/Always this sleep, this chalk shadow”) – und ihren Ideen zur Harmonie eine eigene fiktionale Welt entstehen lassen soll – oder wie es in ihren eigenen Worten heißt “Orduak is a vertiginous descent to the depths of a non-place made of desertion and desolation: the meditation of a drunk man, the riddle of an ineffable life, the infinite sleep. We crossed a shattered poem spread over noisy gaps, we rescued a memory of human voice, of language”. Das Album erscheint Ende des Monats auf CD im Eigenvertrieb.
