Die Musikerin und Regisseurin Domingæ kündigt für Mitte September ihr erstes Soloalbum “Æ” an, das während der Pandemie im japanischen Jamaguchi sowie in Mexiko entstand und an ihre erste eigene EP und das jüngste Album “I” ihrer Band Föllakzoid anknüpft. Das Album geht auf ihre Arbeit mit dem japanischen Modelabel Kozaburo zurück, für deren letztjährige Kollektion und deren Präsentationen sie den Score komponierte. “Æ”, dessen fünf Tracks überwiegend um den Diphtong zentriert sind, der so stark an das Suffix des lateinischen Plurals erinnert, basiert auf dunkler, hypnotischer Elektronic und enthält in den Worten der Künstlerin “Music that hears you, inside of Æ, you are the music hearing the relentless heartbeats of our decaying biotechnological avatars”. Das Album erscheint digital und in zwei unterschiedlichen Vinyl-Editionen bei Sacred Bones.
