It unfolds through two intertwined perspectives: the child I once was, marked by illness, solitude, and music as my only escape, and the father I am now, rediscovering wonder and healing through my son’s eyes. At the heart of the album lies the Trilogy of Becoming: three pieces that revisit the defining hospital experience of my childhood. At the age of seven I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that, at that time, little was known about. I was kept in hospital for long stretches and remained isolated for many years to come, cut off from the outside world and profoundly marked by the experience”.
