“Kaspar is the alter ego of French musician and sound artist Yérri-Gaspar Hummel, who focuses on the relation between sound and culture, emerging technologies and environmental problems, sound movements and multimedia environment through live performances and installations. His visual and sound work find their ways through a variety of production media. He explores music from improvisation to written out compositions, getting inspired by the rhythms of daily objects & sounds, especially honey bees through his work as a beekeeper. He recently created the noise trio Félines together with Jozef Dumoulin and Kasper T. Toeplitz. Yérri-Gaspar built his sound laboratory and Exhibitronic Festival in Strasbourg, France.

He performs and composes in a variety of forms on stage and for the radio broadcast. [...] The album is based on sound research in the electroacoustic and acousmatic fields, applied to electronic rhythmic music. Composed in different European studios between Germany, Belgium, and France, MFD takes inspiration from everyday’s sounds, sampled by Kaspar. These sound frames were collected during his travels in India, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Belgium, France, Sweden, and the USA. MFD is designed to make both body and soul dance.
