Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger wirkt das Songwriting konzentrierter und variabler, mit klarer thematischer Linie und stärkerer Bewegung innerhalb der Stücke. Die Songs reichen von reduzierten, akustisch geprägten Momenten bis zu verzerrteren, unruhigen Passagen, ohne den inneren Zusammenhang zu verlieren. Trotz der Auseinandersetzung mit Verlust, Zerstörung und Verstrickung, so heißt es weiter, bleibt Raum für Nähe, Verbindung und vorsichtige Hoffnung. “Marathon” erscheint Ende Februar in den gängigen Formaten als LP, CD und zum Download.

“Heaven Come Crashing finds the protean guitarist and electronic producer expanding on the ghostly netherworlds of her acclaimed debut, Our Hands Against The Dusk, and the intimate guitar miniatures of companion EP, fragments, with vivid, fluorescent, cinematic maximalism. With its M1 piano stabs, supersaws, and glimpses of Amen breaks, the album charts a luminescent space between 5 a.m. warehouse raves and the urban freeways of its cover image—romantic, nocturnal, and reckless in its velocity and emotional abandon.
