Die musikalische Zusammenarbeit auf “Anti Climb Paint” erfolgt v.a. zwischen dem Bassisten Éric Brochard und dem Zugposaunisten Patrick Charbonnier – Grundlage der Komposition in drei Sätzen ist außerdem eine Reihe an Gedichten des auch als Saxofonisten bekannten Ted Milton, die bereits in einer limitierten Textedition erhältlich waren und als Rezitation in die Aufnahmen integriert wurden. Das Album erscheint als LP und digital bei Label Rebelle.

“The conception of the Les Nixes project (title taken from a poem by Apollinaire) is a little unusual.In 2021, during the lockdown, Ted wrote a collection of poems, Anti-climb paint (of which he gave a handwritten edition of ten copies [...].At Patrick’s suggestion, the author recorded it in London. Patrick and Eric then integrated these thirty or so short poems into their music, which consists of a long improvisation on amplified trombone, bass and effects. After this recording, the trio is now keen to find the stage for a completely different interpretation of this suite.” (Label Rebelle)
