Mitte Mai erscheint die nunmehr fünfte LP des Detroiter Post Punk’Trios Ritual Howls beim kalifornischen Felte-Label. Das neue Album knüpft auf die Wiederveröffentlicht ihres Debüts im vorigen Jahr an – ein Ereignis, das zugleich das zehnjährige Bestehen der aus Paul Bancell (Vocals, Gitarre), Chris Samuels (Synthies, Samples, Drum Machine), and Ben Saginaw (Bass) bestehenden Band, in deren Punk’n'Wave-Sound nicht nur Elemente oldschooliger Industrialmusik, sondern auch immer wieder Spuren von Americana zu finden sind. “Surging with a pictorial flair, the band have captivated audiences for over a decade, cementing themselves as a leader in darkened post-punk”, heißt es beim Label, ferner: “Virtue Falters is an album that punctuates the profound connection of three friends playing music together for over a decade.
