Der von Digital in Berlin in der Musikbrauerei veranstaltete Kiezsalon meldet sich zurück mit einem kleinen Rvng Intl.-Special: Am 28. Oktober sind die in Berlin lebende kolumbianische Klangkünstlerin Lucrecia Calt und das lettische Elektronik-Projekt Sign Libra von Agata Melnikova in den Räumen der Brauerei zu sehen, Dalt präsentiert dort ihr in Kürze erscheinendes Album “No era sólida”. Aufgrund der derzeitigen Hygienevorschriften sind die Tickets limitiert und nur online im Vorverkauf erhältlich.

Die lettische Komponistin und Musikerin Agata Melnikova, die mit ihrer dem tropischen Regenwald gewidmeten Ballettstück “Closer to the Equator” internationale Beachtung fand, veröffentlicht Mitte Februar ein Album mit neun mystisch angehauchten Stücken zwischen elektronischer Avantgarde und etwas, das man mit einer Brise Pathos als außerirdische Weltmusik bezeichnen könnte. Jedes Stück auf “Sea to Sea”, die verspielte Rhythmen, verfremdeten Gesang, mitreisende Bläser und nostalische Synthies aufeinandertreffen lassen, ist einer der großen Talmulden auf der Oberfläche des Mondes gewidmet, die von frühen Astronomen für Seen gehalten wurden und deshalb noch heute unter dem Begriff Lunar Maria subsumiert werden.
