Der australische Synthie- und Field Recordings-Komponist Zane Trow, in dessen Werk reale und imaginäre Landschaften immer wieder eine Rolle spielen, bringt Anfang Februar ein neues Album bei Room40 heraus. Das kreieren musikalischer Topografien ist auch bei “Envoûteuse haleine” ein wesentlicher Hintergedanke Trows, der sagt: “Taking a defined and persistent set of tones and pitched motifs; sifted into uneasy motion;

digital, analogue and found sounds, texture, rotation, duration and decay… knurled electronic scrim… envoûteuse haleine – sonic ecology, liminal frequencies in the imaginary landscapes of threshold consciousness. [...] I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians, Elders past, present and emerging, the Traditional Owners of the lands, winds and waters”. Der Australier Zane Trow bringt mit “Traces” ein neues Album bei Room40 heraus. Neben dem Einsatz von Synthesizern basieren die Tracks zum Großteil auf diversen Feldaufnahmen, die Trow an verschiedenen Orten Autsraliens – Minyon Falls (New South Wales), Christmas Creek und Manorina Melanophrys (beide Queensland) – gesamplet und anschließend mit Looptechnik, Delay und weiteren Effekten bearbeitet hat. Das Album erscheint Mitte Dezember und somit ein halbes Jahr nach dem Vorgänger “Why Echoes?” digital.
