Das im englischen Brighton ansässige Label Hive Mind Records hat bereits zur Beginn der Corona-Pandemie eine Compilation mit verschiedenen Acts des Hauses herausgebracht. Dem Portfolio entsprechend rangiert die stilistische Bandbreite von Traditioneller Musik aus Nordafrika und Vorderasien über ambiente, “kosmische” Elektronik bis hin zu launiger Exotica und eigenwilligem Lofi-Pop. Im Unterschied zu den üblichen Charity-Samplern ist “The Uncanny Times” frei als Download erhältlich, die beteiligten Musiker schlagen aber eine freiwillige Spende an diverse Organisationen vor, die sich an bestimmten Orten u.a. um medizinische Versorgung, Nahrungsmittel und Hilfe für Opfer häuslicher Gewalt kümmern.
