Mit “Acid Desert” erscheint dieser Tage die zweite EP des tribal-rituellen Elektronikers Kakofonico. Mehr noch als der Vorgänger “Welcome to my Jungle” setzt die neue Veröffentlichung auf eine an traditioneller “Welt”-Musik orientierte Seite der auf Samples und Elektronik basierenden Sounds, die nach wie vor in der Tradition klassischer Acid- und Dance-Musik steht und diesmal ebenso stark von türkischer Musik inspiriert ist. Der Titeltrack, der auch ein einer Überarbeitung der Apulier Underspreche vorliegt, entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit der Vokalistin Beyza Çakır und dem Perkussionisten Lorenzo d’Erasmo.
