Martyn Bates bringt etwas mehr als ein Jahr seit dem Debüt “It Doesn’t Matter Where It’s Solstice When You’re In The Room” (Klanggalerie) das zweite Album seines neuen Soloprojektes Kodax Strophes heraus. “Post-War Baby”, bei dem Bates’ seinen charakteristischen Gesang mit einer Handvoll Instrumente – Gitarre, Piano, Flöte, Percussion, Bass, Elektronik, Effekte – begleitet, ist ein ausgesprochen persönliches Album geworden, in dessen Texten sich das Lebensgefühl seiner Jugend in den 50er und 60er Jahren wiederspiegelt. “Post-War Baby” erscheint auf CD und digital bei Bates’ eigenem Label Hive Arc.
