Hinter den Monopoly Child Star Searchers verbirgt sich der unter vielen Projektnamen aktive Soundartist Spencer Clark. In den nächsten Tagen erscheinen beim Discrepant-Ableger Pacific City Disc mit “Prince of Parrot Shooters” und “The Aqueducts of Channel Island” zwei ältere Arbeiten des Musikers neu gemastert auf einer LP. Die beiden EPs von jeweils einer guten Viertelstunde Spieldauer enthalten je drei Tracks, die mal einlullend, mal ekstatisch und immer hypnotisierend ausgerichtet sind und in ihrer (meist) repetitiven Struktur nie eindimensional und aufgerämt anmuten. Mit ihrer Mixtur an Klängen, in denen an Handdrums erinnernde Perkussion in unterschiedlicher Rhythmik und Gangart und in den Hintergrund gemischte Gesänge zu den markantesten Details zählen, scheint das Echo zahlreicher echter und imaginärer Kulturen anzuklingen. Die beiden Releases wurden neu gemastert und erscheinen zusammen auf Vinyl und als Download.
