Mute bringen dieser Tage und fast genau ein Jahr nach dem Album “The Apple Drop” das Albumdebüt der australisch-amerikanischen Liars, namentlich “They Threw Us All in a Trench and Stuck a Monument on Top” (ursprünglich Gern Blandsten Records 2001), neu auf buntem, recycletem Vinyl heraus. Mit ihrem Dance Punk-Crossover erhielt die Combo seinerzeit schnell internationale Anerkennung von Fans und Journaille. Zur Single-Auskopplung “Mr Your On Fire Mr”, das vor zwanzig Jahren stark zum Bekanntwerden des Projektes Beitrug, ist gleichzeitig ein neues Video erschienen. Das Release ist der Auftakt einer geplanten Reihe an Wiederveröffentlichungen aus der Liars-Diskografie.

The campaign kicks off with Liars’ debut album, originally released in 2001 and recorded over two days in Brooklyn, New York with producer Steve Revitte (The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion & Beastie Boys).
