Die in Istanbul lebende Komponistin und Mehrfachinstrumentalistin Ekin Fil bringt in den nächsten Tagen ihr neues Album “Dora Agora” heraus. Fil konzentrierte sich zu Beginn ihrer Karriere v.a. auf die Gitarre als primäre Klangquelle, sei es in ihrer rockorientierten Band Proudpilot, sei es in ihren eher ambient ausgerichteten Soloarbeiten. Mit der Zeit arbeitete die Musikerin aber immer mehr mit anderen, meist elektronischen Instrumenten, mit denen sie sich auch einen Namen als Filmmusikerin machte. Auf “Dora Agora” kehrt sie zur Gitarre zurück und gestaltet mit ihrem vielfältigen Einsatz ein filigran dröhnendes Album, dessen zehn Songs vom Label eine Nähe zu Acts wie Grouper, Movietone und Slowdive attestiert bekommen.
