“Scatterwound [...] return to Midira Records with a fulminant triple album, housing three festival sets of the pre-pandemic era. The album shows how the duo adapts their improvisational sets to the locations they were playing. All starts with an early recording from 2017, where Scatterwound played a cumulative set in a church in Duisburg at Platzhirsch Festival. Even though the set has its loud parts, it is one of the more quiet works of the Duo. A crackling and buzzing beauty. The second set is one of the most powerful sets of Scatterwound, played at Roadburn Festival in 2018. Originally planned as a trio set featuring Justin K Broadrick, a travel delay provoked the duo to play without the special guest. The result is a roaring drone beast. Ebbing, flowing and piling up to massive drone walls. 2019 Scatterwound returned to Moving Noises Festival, where they played their debut show in 2017. This time as a trio featuring Martina Verhoeven on prepared piano, Scatterwound had to restrain their drones to let the piano sounds increase into the soundwalls of the guitar duo.” (Midira)
