Die heute in den Niederlanden lebende frankokanadische Musikerin Carmen Jaci bringt bald ein neues Album als Tape und digital heraus. “Happy Child” ist, wie der Albumtitel bereits suggeriert, eine fröhliche, wenn auch mit einer gewissen Nostalgie durchzogene Feier kindlicher Unbekümmertheit, auf die Beine gebracht u.a. mit dem Klang verschiedener Spielzeuge und Zitaten von Computerspielen und Popmusik und in Form gebracht mit Looptechnik und verschiedenen Arten der Verfremdung. Das Album erscheint beim Noumenal Loom-Label.
