Ankündigung: Mitte Oktober erscheint die erste gemeinsame Veröffentlichung der uruguayanischen Producerin Lila Tirando a Violeta und des deutschen Avantpop-Künstlers Sin Maldita in Form der EP “Acella”. Lila Tirando a Violeta ist eine ausgesprochen kreative Musikerin und eine Kollaborateurin mit einem Gespür für interessante künstlerische Dialoge. Jüngst machte sie mit dem Album “Desire Path” (N.A.A.F.I. 2022) von sich reden. Zum Avantgarde-Pop Sin Malditas heißt es beim Label, er mache gleichermaßen den Spagat zwischen Härte und Zugänglichkeit. “You’re Trouble”, sein erster Longplayer, erschien im November 2020 auf dem hauseigenen Unguarded Label. “Acella” erscheint als Tape und digital bei Hyperdub.

“Acella is informed and inspired by seemingly unconnected work; the concepts and sound design of the late 90′s cyberpunk anime Lain, from which it takes its title and also uses as a sample source and James Joyce‘s experimental novel Finnegan’s Wake. Here they draw away from pop and delve into the language of dreams and digital realities, through surreal and mind-bending scenarios, rendering a splintered yet rhythmically elastic, intense body of work laced with melody. Taking the concept of collaboration to extremes the release delves into the idea of ‘Idioglossia’, inspired by Finnegan’s Wake where a private language is developed and spoken by a small group of people, in this case, Lila and Sin who chatter away throughout the release.
