Das iranisch-neuseeländische Duo Erfand tritt am 23. September beim diesjährigen Reeperbahnfestival im Hamburger Angie’s Night Club auf. Das aus Rouzbeh Esfandarmaz und Patrick Stewart bestehende Projekt verblendet elektronische Rhythmen mit Elementen aus dem reichen Fundus traditioneller iranischer Musik und haben im vergangenen Jahr mit “Hélé” bereits eine EP herausgebracht. Ein Longplayer, der das teils tanzbar-elektronische, teils folkige Konzept noch um einige Nuancen erweitern soll, ist zur Zeit in Arbeit und wird auf dem ebenfalls hanseatischen Label 30M Records erscheinen.

“Born from the fusion of electronic beats and Iranian folk music, the electronic music duo ESFAND dissolves boundaries and revitalizes traditions.
