Gerade erscheint auf Reverb Worship eine limitierte CDr mit ganze 21 Tracks umfassenden Demoaufnahmen des französischen Sängers und Folkdröhners Yann Lafosse, der unter dem Namen My North Eye firmiert. Neben Songs, die in anderer Form auf zurückliegenden Veröffentlichungen erschienen sind, enthält die Sammlung such bislang unveröffentlichtes Material, dessen zum Teil fragil anmutende, rohe und fragmentarisch-miniaturhafte Gestalt dem intimen Charakter der Musik äußerst zuträglich ist. Anspieltipps wären das hypnotisch-somnambule “sigmunt freud you and me”, das elegisch-darkfolkige “guilt” oder der abschließende “Piano Song”. Die Sammlung ist auch digital über die Plattformen des Musikers erhältlich. 
“This is a collection of demos recorded between 2012 and 2015. The tracklisting is by my very good friend Thierry Jourdain. The cover is by Yann Lélias using Lomo pictures taken by Sabine Dubois in 2011. The songs were recorded on a shitty digital recorder and on a Tascam 4-track. David Fontaine did a wonderful job making it all listenable. This record is the ghost of a very difficult ( yet creative ) period of my life that I need to put to rest. It is also the lofi record I’ve wanted to release for a long time. It’s as close as I’ll ever get to Smog’s early recordings. It’s Art Brut.. It’s my Songs of Pain.
