In den nächsten Tagen erscheint das neue Album der in Rio de Janeiro ansässigen Experimentalmusikerin und Multimediakünstlerin Bella als Tape. Der Titel “Tinku” stammt aus einer Quechua-Sprache und steht für eine Dualität als formendes Konzeot, die mit dem Produktionsprozess der Musik in Verbindung steht – beim Label heißt es “BELLA plays the TWINS – twin devices which generate sound waves from the oscillation of light and shadow”. In diesem Zusammenhang stehen auch die vier Duo-Kollaborationen auf dem Album, denn die Künstlerin hat sich eine Reihe Kolleginnen aus verschiedenen südamerikanischen Ländern – Ava Rocha (BR/CO), Ale Hop (PE), Inés Terra (AR/BR) und Raquel Dimantas (BR) – ins Boot geholt, um mit ihren Stimm-, Gitarren- und Elektronik-Beiträgen in Dialog zu treten. “The idea of bringing these artists together was born out of a desire of mine to connect women from Latin America, who, with their very own languages, could weave points of light and shadow, just like the Andean tapestry”, so die Künstlerin. “It is a tribute to the richness and resistance of the culture of this continent, and an updating of its memories”.
