Ankündigung: Am 15. August erscheint mit “New Radiations” das zehnte Studioalbum von Marissa Nadler bei Sacred Bones. Die amerikanische Sängerin und Musikerin knüpft stilistisch an den Vorgänger “The Path of the Clouds” an und verleiht ihrer Handschrift hier eine besonders rohe und intime Note. Das Album versammelt elf Stücke im Grenzbereich zwischen Dreampop, Folk und weiteren Traditionen der populären Musik, deren feine Arrangements sich durch Fingerpicking, analoge Synthies, Orgel, Slide-Gitarre und dezente Verzerrung auszeichnen. Nadlers unverwechselbarer Gesang steht dabei im Zentrum. Thematisch bewegt sie sich durch verschiedenste Erzählperspektiven und schafft dabei eine cinematische Atmosphäre, die ebenso persönlich wie universell wirkt. Die erste Single, der Titeltrack “New Radiations”, ist bereits samt einem von Nadler selbst realisierten (und mit diverse Motiven von Jenni Hensler angereicherten) Video zu hören. Das Album erscheint als LP und CD mit handsignierter Postkarte sowie digital und kein bereits vorbestellt werden.
