Miasmah bringen Anfang Juni das neue Album des französischen Gitarrendröhners Paul Régimbeau alias Mondkopf heraus, der auf unseren seiten bereits im Zusammenhang mit den Sturmvögeln Thema war. “Spring Stories” ist, wie der Name bereits suggeriert, eine furiose, nur scheinbar abstrakte Feier des Frühlings in Form eines repetitiven, intrikaten Gitarrenambient, der in gut dosierten Momenten immer wieder seine räudig-raue Dröhnseite zeigt. Das Label spricht von einem post-entrückten Charakter der Kompositionen, worunter man vielleicht eine Steigerung des entrückten verstehen kann. Auf einigen Tracks gibt es Gastbeiträge zu hören: Frédéric D. Oberland spielt auf zwei Stücken Duduk und Saxophon, Tony Buck (The Necks) steuert Drums bei. “Spring Stories” erscheint auf CD und als Download.
