Der frankokanadische Komponist und Soundartist William Jourdain, der sich Automatisme nennt, bringt mit “Terrain Reduction” ein Click and Cuts-orientiertes Album heraus, dessen weitgehend ambiente Elektronik von Theorien zu Raum und Zeit inspiriert ist. 

“Terrain Reduction is a work inspired by Nicolas Bourriaud’s altermodernist theory. It reflects a similar sound of classic clicks & cuts music of Mille Plateaux, but is structured in a non-linear temporal space. By the use of amalgamate percussions and deep ambient landscapes in some of the tracks, Automatisme tries to make sound space apparent to an accumulation of layers through time, slowly building a topologic archipelago within the multi-temporal universe.” (G89 Records)
