“Kiki Bohemia and Sicker Man have been working together on stage and in the studio for several years now, expanding their means of musical expressiveness by exploring different varieties of experimental music, from doom metal to site-specific composition. Following Pauline Oliveros’ concept of Deep Listening as a radical form of activism and Tony Conrad’s idea that minimal music requires maximum expression, they develop their unique and distinctive spectrum of sound. Relaxed, roaming, holding on to nothing, letting itself be, as if of its own accord. An intimate approach to composing, relying entirely on the associative powers of their music, leading to the creation of a visceral sonic language of its own. Waiting for wood continues the line of flight of their latest work, exploring the interstitial space with increased sonic awareness, and opening up a whole new cosmos of self-transcendence.” (Blankrecords)
