Der italienische Klangkünstler Luca Perciballi bringt im Juni eine neue CD namens “Sacred Habits” heraus. Die elf kratzig dröhnenden Tracks basieren primär auf seinem Solospiel auf der E-Gitarre und dem Einsatz verschiedener Klangobjekte und knüpfen an seine mehrjährigen Erkundungen der Gitarre als reine Soundquelle an. Das Album erscheint bei Kohlhaas Records, auf deren Alessandro Bosetti-Album “Didone” er bereits zu hören war, und ist außerdem zum Download erhältlich.

“Perciballi’s performance the gestures and signs of the body are assembled together and conveyed according to the contemporary modalities of the augmented guitar: electronics, preparations of the instrument and foot percussion. The result is a continuum of noises, archaic melodies, polyrhythms ranging from full electric amplification through pure acoustic sound, up to the use of prepared speakers, appearing as an obscure, vibrant percussion, partly electric and partly acoustic.
