Unter dem Titel “Cекта”, das auf deutsch “Sekte” bedeutet, erschient gerade ein neues Tape des russisch-amerikanischen Experimental-Industrial-Projektes Post Scriptvm. Vom Label als EP ausgerwiesen, erstrecken sich die sechs Stücke über den Zeitraum einer halben Stunde, für den manch anderer eine unbescheidenere Bezeichnung gefunden hätte. Laut Post Scriptvm knüpft das Werk an das vor acht Jahren erschienene Album “Тучи над Борском” an, das sich ebenfalls dem Phänomen okkulter Sekten widmete: “I consider this recording a companion to the tape Тучи над Борском, which was released in Russia in 2016. On that album, I aimed to capture the altered states of mind invoked by the ecstatic rituals of Russia’s underground apocalyptic sects. In 2024, I felt compelled to continue and expand that work, as it has become more apparent than ever that 
humanity is adrift in the annihilating stupor of these abominable hypnotic rites. Секта serves as both a meditation and a curse”. Musikalisch bewegt sich das Werk im bekannt herausfordernden Überlappungsbereich dunkler, labyrinthischer Elektronik, experimentellem Noise und geheimnisvoller Samples, in den Liner Notes ist von “darkly surrealist industrial” die Rede und vom “trademark blend of death ambient, power electronics and esoteric industrial collage” die Rede, ferner von “Slow-moving bass throbs intersect with deep swirling synth sound design, icy cold drones and fragmented tape/sample collage. Disturbing vocals occasionally fade in from the abyss cohesively melding with the thick electronics as if escaping from within the machines themselves, accentuated by pounding percussion and static bursts”.
