Trevor Ward war in den letzten Jahren unter dem Projektnamen Salford Electronics sehr aktiv und hatte über seine Bandcampseite zahlreiche nur als Download verfügbare Zusammenstellungen unter den durchnummerierten Titeln „Communique“ veröffentlicht. Nun erscheint auf Cold Spring eine auf 300 Exemplare limitierte LP, die Material dieser Compilations enthält. Das Artwork ist minimal und das Label beschreibt die Musik nicht unpassenderweise als „lo-fi electronic urban nightmares spiralling through Industrial decay, rain-drenched dark ambient, abrasive loops, brooding noise, and shards of scintillating electronics“.
Salford Electronics is Dave Padbury (The Grey Wolves). Formed in 2015, SE has notably collaborated on releases with Simon Fisher Turner, Ancient Methods, Vatican Shadow, Rupert Lally, and Primitive Knot.
