Gut drei Jahre nach “For a Lark” bringen die als Post Punk Free Jazz-Combo nur unzureichend klassifizierten King Champion Sounds mit “Between Two Worlds” einen neuen Longplayer heraus. Neben der sechsköpfigen Kernbesetzung aus Ajay Saggar (The Bent Moustache), Oli Heffernan (University Challenged), GW Sok (The Ex), Mees Siderius, Holly Habstritt Gaal und Elsa Van Der Linden tragen einige Gäste v.a. am Mikrofon zu dem Mix aus ambienten, folkigen, krautigen und nouserockigen Zutaten bei, namentlich Gerry Love (ex Teenage Fanclub), Mia Doi Todd, Sally Timms (The Mekons), Janet Beveridge Bean (Eleventh Dream Day) sowie die Autorin Marieke McKenna, die Auszüge aus einem Tagebuch rezitiert. “Between Two Worlds” erscheint auf CD bei Hive Mind Records.
