Fast zwei Jahre nach dem vorausgegangenen “Traantjes” erscheint am 30. Juni das neue und dritte Album des Orquesta del Tiempo Perdido unter der Leitung des Komponisten und Mehrfachinstrumentalisten Jeroen Kimman. Für “Spek” ist das für seine schräge, stilistisch hybride Exotica berüchtigte Orchester von einundzwanzig auf zehn Mitglieder geschrumpft und präsentiert mit verschiedenen Gitarren, zahlreichen Blasinstrumenten, Percussion, Synthies und mehr eine nie zu eingängig gestaltete Mixtur aus harschen Rhythmen, entspanntem und zugleich immer leicht zerfleddertem Gitarrenspiel, funky Rock-Ansätzen, verhallten Lautsprecheransagen und allerlei rumpelnden und ratternden beigaben. Das Resultat ist eine Musik voll reizvoller Deja-vu-Effekte, derer man doch nie habhaft werden kann. Das Album erscheint auf CD und zum Download bei Shhpuma Records.
