In den nächsten Tagen erscheint ein gemeinsames Album des Komponisten und Musikers Vittorio Montalti und dem römischen Blow Up Percussion-Ensemble. Das Album enthält eine zusammenhängende Komposition, die in zwölf Abschnitte unterteilt ist. Konzipiert wurde das Stück für Aufführungen, bei denen Montalti mit von ihm beigesteuerter Elektronik Teil des Ensembles ist und dieses eher durch eigene musikalische Ideen führt als im klassischen Sinne Vorgaben zu liefern. Beim Label heißt es: “The composition is conceived as a live performance and attempts to break down the traditional boundaries between composer and performer: The composer does not give instructions on how his work is to be performed but becomes an integrative part of the performance itself. The starting point of the piece is Vittorio Montaltis interest for electronic media and the integration of these in his compositional research. The electronic dimension is should not be seen as a “supplement” to the percussion instruments, but rather as media that expands the timbre of the acoustic instruments”.
