Trotz seiner über weite Strecken ambient gleitenden Grundierung – und im gewissen Sinne im Einklang mit Titel und Artwork – ist das Album von einer eher dramatischen Atmosphärik, die sich ganz unterschiedlicher Macharten und Techniken bedient, die von aufgeweckter, fast verspielter Unruhe über dunkle, spannungsvolle Dronelandschaften bis zu labyrinthischen Sonderwegen reicht, die zu stimmig im Kontext des Ganzen sind, um als Irrwege gesehen werden zu können. The inspiration for this album was the arrival of a thunderstorm on a spring evening around sunset during a emotionally tumultuous period. The metaphor of a abrupt weather change late in the day resonated with where the mind was at during that time. It is about change and chaos and the struggle to grow and learn from the experiences of life”.
