Mitte nächsten Monats bringen Hallow Ground eine neue digitale Single des Klangkünstlers und Komponisten Rolf Gisler alias DarkSoincTales heraus – das Stück “Ellipsis” knüpft an sein vor mittlerweile drei Jahren erschienenes Debüt an und erscheint zusammen mit einem Video, das in Zusammenarbeit mit der Choreografin und Performancekünstlerin Zoë Dowlen, der Tänzerin Dana Iova-Koga und der Videokünstlerin Rahel Hunziker entstanden ist, für die Kameraarbeit zeichnete Jan Buchholz verantwortlich. Das rund zehnminütige Stück basiert in der Hauptsache auf dem Einsatz einer Kalimba, deren minimale Akkorde dezente Unterstützung von bearbeiteten Alphornklängen sowie Gitarre und Synthies bekam, entfaltet in seinem langsamen, sukzessiven Aufbau eine spannungsvolle Atmosphäre, in der aber auch eine gewisse Wehmütigkeit erkannt werden kann. Es wird bald über die Plattformen des Labels erhältlich sein. 
“‘Ellipsis’ is based on an interdisciplinary experiment in which music, animation and performance meet, inspire, and shape each other. In the resulting music video, performative and animated elements are carried by a unique world of sound. The music moves slowly and carefully around a few minimalist kalimba chords. The basic tenor of the sounds may seem threatening, but hope is nonetheless omnipresent, whether through the barely audible sounds of the processed alphorn, the guitar, or the discreet use of analogue synthesizers. On the visual level, animations creates a surreal, organically moving space in which an ever-changing entity forms the center. A figure in a black robe interacts with it in various ways. The interaction between the elements is choreographed to visualize a mysterious alchemical process involving touch, shadow, visibility, distance, size, and transformation. The music connects the visible levels and determines the mood and dramaturgical tension through its resonant sound”. (Hallow Ground)
