Der bulgarische Soundartist Hristo Gospodinov alias Shrine bringt kurz nach der gemeinsamen 7″ mit Mytrip ein neues Album heraus. Wie der Titel bereits vermuten lässt, kreist der Stoff auf “Nausicaä” um den Motivkomplex aus Hayao Miyazakis postapokalyptischem Manga Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind und dessen Verfilmung als Anime – “a story of Earth’s future a thousand years after the collapse of industrial civilization, when most of the planet is covered by a toxic jungle filled with deadly spores that choke all human life. An ode to the
relationship between humanity and nature, and a call of awareness to the environmental crisis we all face”, wie es beim Label heißt. Musikalisch bewegen sich die acht Tracks im Überschneidungsvereich eines soghaften, zum Teil rauen Ambient und den Geräuschen von Wind, Wetter und anderen Ausdrucksformen der Natur und sollten (trotz kleiner Exkurse in etwas lieblichere Gefilde) Freunden der Musik von Anemone Tube gefallen, der sich dem Stoff vor einigen Jahren ebenfalls annahm.
