Mille Plateaux, die bereits ein Album – “Biokinetics” – von Thomas Köners und Andy Mellwigs Duo Porter Ricks veröffentlicht hatten, bringen Ende des Monats deren selbstbetiteltes Debüt heraus. Es enthält elf dunkle elektronische Tracks zwischen vielschichtiger Klangkunst und tanzbarem Groove, der gelegentliches Stolpern in unerhörte Abgründe nicht ausschließt. “The album demonstrates the move to a kind of discoid funkyness with an underlying almost organic rhythmight. But still its not music for beautiful souls. Instead, it combines funkyness with alien sonic fluxes and the rhythm of a killing mover” heißt es beim Label.
