Mit der Open Air und in dezenter Lautstärke durchgeführten Odd Wednesday-Reihe kehrt das Berliner ACUD nach und nach in den Konzertbetrieb zurück. Bei der am Mittwoch den 29. Juli stattfindenden Folge treten die Klangkünstlerinnen JD Zazie und Heidrun Schramm mit einer Turntable-Performance, einer in Echtzeit improvisierten Soundkollage und einigem mehr auf. Die Veranstaltung ist auf zwanzig Tickets begrenzt, die im Vorverkauf erhältlich sind.
“JD Zazie is an experimental DJ, avant-turntablist and sound artist based in Berlin. Coming from a DJ and a radiophonic background JD Zazie has explored different approaches to real-time manipulation of fixed recorded sound. In her work she redefines DJ and electroacoustic activities. As a solo performer, in small groups, and in large ensembles, she works in an area which is constantly stretching the borders of what could be defined as DJ mixing, free improvisation and composed music.
Heidrun Schramm is a noise collector, sound artist and composer. In her work she combines sound art, music and video art. In her performances she often creates sound collages from field recordings, samples and self-generated sounds with objects, synthesizer, cello. From her collection of sounds she extracts rhythms, textures and voices for her compositions, trying to limit herself to a specific selection.”
