Im Dezember und somit kurz vor dem geplanten Album-Release bringen Current 93 mit “Soft as the Sun” einen Song im ungewöhnlichen Format einer Flexi-Postkarte heraus. Der Bild- und Tonträger erscheint 250mal signiert und handnummeriert bei dem griechischen Musik- und Kulturportal FEX und ist Teil eines Charity-Projektes zugunsten eines Museums für Folklore und Geschichte in der thrakischen Stadt Xanthi östlich von Tessaloniki. Der Song stammt aus den Aufnahmesessions zum neuen Album und wird darauf in der Form nicht enthalten sein, das Frotcovermotiv ist Teil von Tibets neuer Serie “I Am All Light”. “Soft as the Sun” ist ausschließlich über FEX erreichbar und kann per E-Mail reserviert werden: fexorg@gmail.com
“We are honoured and delighted that we are able to announce a special artistic release, a worldwide exclusive, which is being implemented in the context of supporting the Folklore & History Museum of Xanthi. It is a collectible flexi-postcard which is playable on record-players as an analogue music record of short duration. The postcard hosts visual and audio material from Current 93 and is called SOFT AS THE SUN.This unique postcard is to be released in 250 copies, hand-numbered and signed copies by David Tibet, on December 2021, curated by the Experimental Stage of FEX (www.chrysallida.gr), which after a long time obsession with postcards, starts with this release a new series under the title «Ηλιοστάσιον».
