Zum diesjährigen Record Store Day Black Friday, der am 29. November stattfindet, bringt die kanadiche Cellistin Juli Kent zwei ihrer frühen Arbeiten erstmals auf Vinyl heraus. Die Doppel-EP im Gatefold enthält neben dem 2011 erschienenen Album “Green and Grey” (Important Records / Tin Angel) die Vorab-EP “Last Day in July” (2010 im Eigenrelease) sowie die zwei bislang unveröffentlichten Tracks “Oleander” und “Salt Point”.
“The double LP will be released in a gatefold sleeve, with artwork ‘remixed’ from the original album. Green and Grey explores the intersections between the human world and the natural world, the melding of the technological and the organic, using Kent’s now-trademark looped and layered cello, electronics, and field recordings.
