Uruk, das aus Thighpaulsandra und Massimo Pupillo bestehende Duo, veröffentlicht am 13. Oktober auf Mind Travel Series, einem Sublabel von Ici d’Ailleurs, das neue, inzwischen vierte, Album „The Great Central Sun“. 
Über das zweite Album „Mysterium Coniunctionis“ konnte man hier lesen: „Musikalisch wird man entfernt an Alben wie Coils Time Machines erinnert, insgesamt aber sind die beiden 20-minütigen Tracks etwas unruhiger und weniger meditativ. Drones schwellen an und ab, Melodien tauchen kurz auf, bevor sie im Klangsud untergehen. Eine Gattungsbezeichnung wie Dark Ambient greift bei dieser enorm vielschichtigen Musik viel zu kurz. Dazu passiert zu viel und dazu ist die hier mit elektronisch wie auch akustischem Instrumentarium evozierte Düsternis bar jeden Klischees.“
“‘The Great Central Sun’ is an album of experimental music that contains only two long tracks with enigmatic names, suggesting an introspective or even mystical sound experience, where the listener seems to be called upon to explore hidden or mysterious aspects of himself and the universe: ‘Per speculum in aenigmates’: (Through a mirror, in a riddle) and ‘Radiating rainbows’. This choice to offer only two tracks is a prolongation of their previous compositions, where each album offers only two very long tracks, between 18 and 25 minutes.
‘The Great Central Sun’ is an album oscillating between drone and ambient, in a mysterious and hazy atmosphere, evoking images of interstellar travel or mental explorations. It should be perceived as a real sensory journey, immersing the listener in a dense and complex sound universe. These two long pieces seem eternal and take us from another space-time, the elaborate textures and hypnotic sounds of Thighpaulsandra on synthesizer, create a captivating atmosphere.
