Am 11. August erscheint auf Sacred Bones Records eine Neuauflage von Julee Cruises „Floating Into The Night“, auf dem Angelo Badalamenti die Stücke komponierte und der das Album zusammen mit David Lynch produzierte.

Julee Cruise hatte erstmalig mit Lynch und Badalamenti auf dem Soundtrack zu „Blue Velvet“ gearbeitet. Als David Lynch damals This Mortal Coils Interpretation des Tim Buckley-Songs „Song to the Siren“ hörte, wollte er das Stück für den Soundtrack haben, allerdings waren 4ADs Ivo Russells finanzielle Forderungen zu hoch und so entstand das von Lynch getextete, von Badalamenti komponierte und von Cruise gesungene „Mysteries Of Love“ (das später von Anohni gecovert werden sollte). Das Stück findet sich auf “Floating Into The Night” ebenso wie “Falling”, “The Nightingale” und  “Into The Night”, die auf dem “Twin  Peaks”-Soundtrack zu hören waren.

“Floating Into The Night” erscheint in verschiedenen Vinylversionen.
